Comparative Performance of a Fiberglass Dynamic Elastic Response Foot

چکیده
INTRODUCTION Dynamic elastic response (DER) feet are prostheses that store and release energy during gait. They are designed for active lower-limb amputees and believed to be beneficial by enhancing mobility and function. However, the design of a DER foot appears to be based on a trial-and-error basis. At present, there is little scientific evidence to guide the clinical prescription of DERs. Prosthetic guidelines are currently based on clinical consensus among experts.

Biomechanical Analysis of the Influence of SACH Foot and Dynamic-Response Foot in Individual With Unilateral Transtibial Amputee During Running
Objective: Amputation of the lower limb due to loss of part of the musculoskeletal structure reduces performance and increases injury during locomotion. The effect of various types of prosthetic feet has been analyzed in several studies during running. The purpose of this study was a biomechanical analysis of the influence of SACH and Dynamic-Response foot on several kinetic variables in the st...
متن کاملDynamic Response of Multi-cracked Beams Resting on Elastic Foundation
Cracks cause to change dynamic response of beams and make discontinuity in slope of the deflection of the beams. The dynamic analysis of the Euler-Bernoulli cracked beam on the elastic foundation subjected to the concentrated load is presented in this paper. The stiffness of the elastic foundation and elastic supports influence on vibrational characteristics of the cracked beam. The Dynamic Gre...
متن کاملDynamic response of a repaired composite beam with an adhesively bonded patch under a harmonic peeling load
The dynamic response of repaired composite beams under a harmonic peeling load was studied theoretically and experimentally. The repair method was based on removal of the damaged region and bonding a composite patch into the gap with adhesive. In the theoretical part, the equations of motion in the axial and transverse directions were derived assuming that the viscoelastic adhesive layer resist...
متن کاملNonlinear Dynamic Response of Functionally Graded Porous Plates on Elastic Foundation Subjected to Thermal and Mechanical Loads
In this paper, the first-order shear deformation theory is used to derive theoretical formulations illustrating the nonlinear dynamic response of functionally graded porous plates under thermal and mechanical loadings supported by Pasternak’s model of the elastic foundation. Two types of porosity including evenly distributed porosities (Porosity-I) and unevenly distributed porosities (Porosity-...
متن کاملAnalytical Study of Dynamic Response of Railway on Partial Elastic Foundation under Travelling Accelerating Concentrated Load
The dynamic response of the railway under accelerated moving load using Dynamic Green Function is presented in this paper. For this purpose, an exact and direct modeling technique is introduced for the railway modeling as the damped Euler-Bernoulli beam on the partial Winkler foundation with arbitrary boundary conditions subjected to the moving load. The effects of the elastic coefficient of Wi...
